Early Termination of Probation in Orange County

Orange County shares the Ninth Judicial Circuit with Osceola. That makes one question worth settling before anything else: which of the two counties is your case actually in?

Orange County questions

My case is in the Ninth Circuit. Does that mean Orange or Osceola?

Either — the circuit covers both. Your judgment and sentence names the county, and that is the one that governs where a motion is filed. It is the first thing to check.

I live in Seminole but was sentenced in Orange. Does that complicate things?

Not legally. Seminole sits in a different circuit, so you may report to an office there while your case remains an Orange County matter. The practical effect is that your compliance record is held outside the county deciding the motion.

I commute into another county for work. Do I need permission every time?

It depends on the conditions written into your own order, which is why reading them rather than assuming is the safe course. If a recurring commute is involved, a standing arrangement is worth raising with your officer — see travel permission.

Do you have an Orlando office?

This page does not claim one. The firm's office location is published on the contact page, and whether we can act in a given county depends on the case and where it sits.
