Privacy Policy
How FloridaProbationLaw.com handles information you send through this website.
Who this applies to
This policy covers FloridaProbationLaw.com, which is operated by Hoffman Legal, PLLC. It does not cover any other website you may reach from a link here.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, contact details, the county your case is in, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. There is no account system and nothing asks you to register.
Submitting a form transmits what you typed to the form service named below. Visiting any page also sends usage data to Google Analytics, described in its own section. This site carries no advertising trackers and no third-party marketing or retargeting cookies, and it is not connected to any advertising network.
How a form submission reaches us
Forms on this site are delivered by Formspree, a third-party form service. What you type is transmitted to Formspree, which forwards it to the firm and retains a copy on its own systems under its own privacy policy and retention rules. We name it because it means your enquiry passes through a company that is not this firm before anyone here reads it.
If that is not acceptable to you, call (954) 459-4236 or email david@hoffman.legal instead. Telephone enquiries are accepted 24/7 and reach the firm without an intermediary.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to measure how it is used — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and which buttons are pressed. That means Google receives your IP address, approximate location, device and browser details, the pages you view, and the links you click on this site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to recognise a returning browser across visits. It is not cookieless.
Nothing you type into a form is sent to Google Analytics. We record that a form was started, that it was submitted, and which field caused a validation error — never your name, telephone number, email address, county or anything you wrote about your case. Sending that information to an analytics provider would be both a breach of Google’s terms and, on an attorney intake form, plainly wrong.
If you would rather not be measured, most browsers can block the script, and browser extensions that block Google Analytics work normally on this site — nothing here depends on analytics loading. Contacting the firm by telephone or email involves no analytics at all.
What we do with it
We use it to respond to you and to assess whether we can help. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to lead-generation services or other firms.
It is not confidential until it is
This is the part that matters most. Information sent through this website is not protected by attorney-client privilege until an attorney-client relationship exists, which requires a conflict check and a written agreement. Please send enough to identify the matter and no more — see the contact page.
How long we keep it
Retention period to be confirmed by Hoffman Legal. Enquiries that do not become matters are kept only as long as needed to run a conflict check and respond.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it, subject to any professional obligation to retain records. Contact us to do so.
